Jame’ Masjid was established in 1977 (1297AH) under the patronage of Hardhat Shaykh Maulana Adam Sahib دامت براكته..

The Masjid is based in the heart of the Muslim community in Leicester, offering a wide range of services to cater for the local community, ranging from educational facilities to marriage ceremonies and funeral arrangements.

The Masjid underwent a major construction and refurbishment programme which was completed in 2010. These works allowed for the provision of a larger place of worship along with facilities and services to cater for the growing Muslim community.

The Masjid is open for all prayers throughout the year, providing necessary facilities within the Masjid for the attendees. Along with the five daily prayers, the Masjid offers many services, which include:

The educational departments of the Masjid (Madrassah) are more popularly known as Jame’ah Uloomul Qur’an. In 1977, the Madrassah started with only 11 students in one Hifz class. Alhumdulillah, as the community grew, and with the support of the community, the Madrassah has grown considerably, now catering for a wide range of educational needs for the Muslim community.

There are a wide range of classes and courses available for both girls and boys, some of which are as follows:

  • Maktab /Evening Madrassah
  • Darul Uloom / ‘Ilmiyyah Full Time
  • Hifdh Classes
  • Part Time ‘Ilmiyyah Classes
  • Adult Classes

We aim to provide a comprehensive range of education for the Muslim community.  Catering for children as young as the age of 3 ½ to adults who attend regular classes or join the lessons within the Masjid to increase their knowledge and understanding of Islam or to correct their recitation of the Qur’an.
